June 26, 2008: A Taste of Anaheim



The FISH made its presence known at the Taste of Anaheim, which took place at the Grove of Anaheim. Over 4,000 people attended this event - the largest crowd ever.
The event benefited the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce.

KKLA's Day With Alistair Begg

May 22, 2008 - KKLA had a full day with Pastor Alistair Begg. In the afternoon, pastors and other guests had been invited to attend KKLA’s 10^th Annual Pastors Appreciation Luncheon with guest speaker Alistair Begg. Later that evening, KKLA held a listener event at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, where more than 3,000 people arrived to hear Alistair Begg. Frank Pastore was able to interview Pastor Begg on his show that evening. Both events went extremely well and were enjoyed by everyone.

Somebody Loves You Crusade with Pastor Raul Ries

June 27 -29, 2008 - KKLA has a booth at the “Somebody Loves You Crusade” with Pastor Raul Ries at the L.A. Convention Center. The 3-day crusade drew over 15,000 people, and Reba Toney was there to greet our listeners.

July 12, 2008 - What if you had the opportunity to sing in front of thousands at professional baseball game? This was the question answered by hundreds of KKLA listeners, as KKLA received numerous entries to sing the national anthem at Dodger Stadium. Though many were received, only one could be the winner, and that person was Crystal Lopez (pictured above). Crystal not only got to sing the national anthem, but received a KKLA polo shirt and seats in the Dodger skybox suites! Congrats, Crystal!

May 14, 2008 - For the 4th year in a row, KRLA partnered with the city of Glendale for their Taste of Downtown Glendale. KRLA had a booth in front of the Alex Theatre during the event
and lots of prizes were distributed to people as they strolled up and down Brand Blvd. All money raised went to Glendale Healthy Kids, a local charitable organization.

May 18, 2008 - KRLA participated in 2 big events: The Arthritis Walk took place in Woodland Hills and supported Warren Eckstein (who’s on the board for this event).

That same day, KRLA also had a major presence at the Israel Independence Day Festival. Child ID Kit were sponsored by Avanti Pools. Dennis Prager hosted the program that was also attended by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

KRLA AT AMERICAFEST 2008

July 4, 2008 - AMERICAFEST took place at the Rose Bowl. For the fourth year in a row, KRLA was a proud participant of this annual 4th of July Celebration. This year the Pasadena Marathon sponsored free Child ID kits and the live broadcast of the Kevin James show.

KRLA also took on the added responsibility of creating over 5,000 event programs, enabling us to make additional revenue through ad sales. A special shout out to Jake Nyman for putting his special touch on this beautiful program.

July 11, 2008 - KRLA's on-air personality Kevin James went to the Orange County Fair this year to do an unprecedented LIVE broadcast. Kevin James had a large audience throughout his entire show! Of course, no trip to the fair would be complete without having a plate of the delicious foods!

June 6-7, 2008 - On Saturday, KTIE hosted a live broadcast of THE PET SHOW and “Let’s Dine Out”. The crowd was large and the live music was great. Child ID kits were processed on Saturday and Sunday the prize wheel was used.

August 3, 2008 - Dennis Prager celebrates 25 years with a sold out crowd of loyal listeners in San Bernardino. Dennis entertained questions from the audience as well as stayed for autographs and posed for pictures!
